Laser Photonics Scores Order From Walsh Service Solutions

Laser Cleaning Technology Reduces Eco Footprint of Infrastructure Maintenance Near Waterways

ORLANDO, Fla., Dec. 26, 2024 – Laser Photonics Corporation (NASDAQ: LASE) (LPC), a leading global developer of industrial laser systems for cleaning and other material processing applications, announced today that it received an order from Walsh Service Solutions, LLC for one of its flagship handheld laser cleaning systems.

Walsh Service Solutions has placed an order for the CleanTech IR-3040 – a high-performance handheld fiber laser system designed by LPC for speedy surface decontamination. Walsh Service Solutions, which provides business and construction support solutions, will utilize the CTIR-3040 in abatement and remediation of inland waterway infrastructure including canal locks.

“We spent in-depth effort identifying different abatement methodologies to extend the life of these facilities while simultaneously improving maintenance speed and operations. We had to balance efficiency, logistics, and costs – with the safety of our team always at the forefront,” said Rich Walsh, the President of Walsh Service Solutions.

Walsh continued: “We selected Laser Photonics’ CleanTech IR-3040 for the safety, versatility, and efficiency it will bring to our specific applications in this project and many others. This laser technology will not only allow us to increase worker safety, minimize waste generation from abatement operations, and increase our operational efficiencies; it will also give us a competitive advantage in pursuing future projects.”

John Armstrong, the Executive Vice President of LPC, added: “We are thrilled that Walsh Service Solutions has selected Laser Photonics as its supplier of laser cleaning equipment for its critical project. It is essential that maintenance projects near waterways do not harm local ecosystems. This is where laser technology excels, as it eliminates the need for abrasives and chemicals, leaving no mess behind.”

Laser cleaning is a sustainable surface treatment method for businesses looking to reduce their ecological impact, as it does not involve the use of consumables and generates minimal secondary waste. LPC technology continues to be adopted in the maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) arena and many other sectors as companies worldwide move toward sustainable technology.
